Collection: EYELIDS OF WONDER

The Billie Holiday Theatre proudly presents Eyelids of Wonder, a vibrant new exhibition part of the institution’s popular gallery and exhibition series, celebrating the enduring power of Black joy through the lens of children’s literature. 

Inspired by The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats - the groundbreaking children’s book first considered to center Black children - this exhibition honors the artistic legacy and future of Black illustrators who continue to draw themselves and their communities into the heart of the American story.
